Mission Statement:
The Iowa City Junior Service League is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism and improving the community through the effective leadership of trained individuals. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The ICJSL does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, religion, or national origin. The group focuses on serving primarily women and children.
Membership:
Over 70 women, including Provisionals and Actives, representing a full range of diverse backgrounds, interests, and professions.

The ICJSL originated the summer of 2002. Through the establishment of membership and fundraising efforts, they plan to someday join the 294 Junior Leagues that make up the Association of Junior League International (AJLI), serving the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Great Britain.
